Alfa Sud Contest Winner:GT1750

GT1750 is the winner and champion of the Alfa Sud contest:

The design is simple yet believable. The final rendering was one of the best we have ever seen at S&D and because of this GT has won the best overall design.

Well, I'm not good at BSing about forms and feelings or whatever, since I'm not a design school graduate or a pro. All I can say is that I went for a rather simple, small which follows the Grande Punto hardpoints such as wheelbase and windshield. The car is intended to be accessible, yet desirable and worthwhile of the name Alfa Romeo. The front is a simpler version of 156 while the rear was meant to be a modern interpretation of the old Alfasud Ti (hence the angled rear glass, bent black lip and taillights pushed to edges)

AKA DP Design

Dave has come along way and his renderings are getting better every week. This rendering was a vast improvement for Dave and S&D would like to show Dave some love because of it. Great job Dave.

I wanted to take a different approach to the contest using sharp lines and corners, something i didnt see anybody else do. I tryed to give my alfa a futuristic look while not making it look too over the top. It was mainly an experiment of sharp lines and corners into a modern hatchback, but still having a modern look to my design. I wanted to change the look of alfa romeo styling dramatically by removing the alfa signature grill and adding new lights and shapes to the car.
I gave my vision of the future, which nobody can be sure about so i used my imagination combining different shapes which nobody would expect.
I'd like to congratulate everyone who entered, i had alot of fun doing this contest and look forward to the next one.
